There are many variations of this smoothie, but the key ingredients are blueberries, spirulina, and ginger.
Berries and dragonfruit are high in fiber, antioxidants and compounds called polyphenols that fight the potential harm to your cells. Polyphenols are micronutrients that we get through plant based foods that improve vascular function, boost your metabolism. Vitamins like A, C, and E plus flavonoids can provide a host of protection. Spirulina and yogurt have a high concentration of iodine which helps your thyroid to produce triiodothyronine, or T3, and thyroxine, or T4.
Almond and coconut milk do not contain the two inflammatory promoting substances that cow's milk does: antigens and saturated fats. Ginger is rich in potassium, magnesium and helps to combat inflammation, one of the primary causes for thyroid issues. It is also soothing for sore throats. Bananas help restore neurotransmitters and support healing from neurological problems related to thyroid issues. Avocados contain monosaturated fats and antioxidants that help the thyroid.

1/4 c blueberries
3 small plums or 1/2 c blackberries
1 1/2 Tsp Spirulina
1/2 c almond milk or coconut milk
1/2 c plain yogurt (or 1/4 avocado)
2 tablespoons honey, or sugar, or 1/2 banana
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
1 c of ice cubes
Add 1 tsp grated ginger, dragon fruit, blueberries, blackberries for topping.
